Canada-Nova Scotia Infrastructure Program (CNSIP)

The Canada-Nova Scotia Infrastructure Program is a $195-million investment by the Government of Canada, the Province of Nova Scotia and other partners including municipalities to improve municipal infrastructure in Nova Scotia.

The Program helps improve Nova Scotians’ quality of life through investments that:

  • Enhance the quality of Nova Scotia’s environment
  • Support long-term economic growth
  • Improve community infrastructure
  • Build 21st century infrastructure through best technologies, new approaches and best practices
Funding for this Program has been fully committed.

Claim Forms
 
Instructions for Claim Forms - This document provides step-by-step instructions on how to submit a claim
 
Detail Claim Form - This form provides line-by-line details of each invoice submitted by the project proponent.  Invoices and cancelled cheques must be submitted with this form, and this must be submitted on a regular basis.  Do not wait until the completion of the project.
 
Interim Claim Form - This form must be completed by the project proponent and submitted with the Detail claim Form.  It includes financial totals from the Detail Claim Form and indicates the amount the proponent is expecting to receive from the Infrastructure Program.
 
Audited Holdback Release Form - This form provides final financial information about the project upon completion of the project.  The project proponent must provide this from to their Municipal Auditor to be used when conducting the project audit.  This form must be signed by the Municipality and the Municipal Auditor before it is submitted to the Infrastructure Secretariat to receive the 10 per cent holdback.
