If you have a project and an idea for an event or announcement, contact the Canada-Nova Scotia Infrastructure Secretariat as soon as possible – at least 30 days prior to your suggested date. This will give the communications advisor at CNSIS a chance to discuss it with you and give all levels of government an opportunity to plan their involvement.
The CNSIS communications staff will work with municipalities/transit organizations and Infrastructure Canada to determine the appropriateness of the opportunity, the date, time and location of the event – and prepare an event itinerary.
Ideally, the announcement would take place at the project site or a location with an interesting backdrop. As a member of the community, you are in the best position to recommend appropriate locations and CNSIS will be looking for your input and assistance.
For more information on who is responsible for which aspects of the events, please see Roles & Responsibilities.
